Payment Options

  1. Self-Pay

(Out of Network)

I accept payments at the time of our appointment. I am happy to complete a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance to request reimbursement.

  • You would pay me the full session fee at the time of each session. Then, on a monthly basis, I would complete a Superbill that reflects our sessions for that month. You would then submit that form to your insurance company, and they will decide if they will cover a percentage of the session fee. I recommend asking your insurance company about “out of network” mental health (telehealth) coverage prior to scheduling an initial intake appointment.

  • The Superbill will include information about my practice, identifying information about you (e.g., address, insurance, DOB), diagnosis codes, dates of visits, procedure codes (to tell insurance what type of session was held), and fees.

    1. Do I have coverage for out of network mental health teletherapy?

    2. Are there session limits to this coverage?

    3. What is my deductible? And what is my out of pocket payment before my deductible is met?

    4. What percentage of the fee for each visit is covered once my deductible is met?

    5. What is the process for submitting the “superbill” and receiving reimbursement?

  • Clients are asked to pay at the time of appointment through Alma.

Want Some Support With Checking Out-of-Network Benefits?

I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

I still recommend reaching out directly to your insurance, but this is a good place to start!

2. In-Network Insurance

I am in-network with Aetna, United Healthcare, UHC Student Resources, Point32Health (Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts Health Plan), Oxford, Oscar, and UMR.

*Please note that I am currently an in-network provider in only Massachusetts and Colorado. I am out-of-network in New Hampshire.

All insurance billing and co-pays are done through Alma.

  • Yes, I am in-network with a few more insurances under the Aetna and Optum umbrellas. You can see these insurances through my Alma profile linked here). If you do not have the insurances I take, you could do the self-pay option to work with me.

Good Faith Estimate

Through the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or elect to self-pay have the right to receive a good faith estimate of what their services may cost.
